Idemitsu Historical Archives

Historical archives that follow the history and achievements of Idemitsu Sazo, the founder of Idemitsu Kosan

See, Play, Experience Mojiko Area

In 1911, Idemitsu Sazo (August 22, 1885–March 7, 1981) founded a petroleum dealer named Idemitsu Shokai, the predecessor of Idemitsu Kosan, when he was just 25 years old. More than a century after its foundation, the company has grown to be a leading energy company in Japan. Idemitsu Historical Archives introduce the history of Idemitsu Kosan, from the foundation of Idemitsu Shokai to the present time, as well as the philosophy and thoughts of Idemitsu Sazo as an entrepreneur, using videos and panels. The archives also disseminate information about the history of the Port of Moji, loved by Idemitsu Sazo, and the present-day Mojiko Retro area.
