Norfolk Square

One of the best spots that provide wonderful sunset and night views!

See, Play, Experience Mojiko Area

This square is very popular as an ideal spot for viewing the magnificent Kanmon Strait, ships going through the strait, and the Kanmon Bridge.

The square was named after Norfolk City, Virginia, U.S., with which the City of Kitakyushu has concluded a friendship agreement.

In front of the square extending into the sea is the magnificent Kanmon Strait. In the square benches have been installed, the best spots for enjoying a view of the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait.

In the evening when the sun sets over the strait, or at night when the Kanmon Bridge and Shimonoseki across the strait are illuminated, you can enjoy a more romantic view.
