See, Play, Experience Mojiko Area

Idemitsu Sazo was the founder of Idemitsu Kosan, a petroleum dealer originating at the Port of Moji, and a famous art connoisseur.

This museum, exhibiting his collection of artworks, was reopened in October 2016 after about one and half years of renovation works. The renovated building features a brick-like exterior with a retro atmosphere.

The museum organizes five or six theme-based exhibitions a year, focusing on Japanese paintings and calligraphic works, and Eastern porcelain.

Idemitsu Historical Archives, housed in the museum building, introduces the life of Idemitsu Sazo and the history of Idemitsu Kosan.
