This place is renowned for the beauty of its wisteria flowers, which attract many tourists from around the world. When in bloom from late April to early May, an about-10,000-m2 area is filled with about one million wisteria flowers of 22 kinds. In this period, the garden is completely covered with white, bluish purple, and pink flowers, and two tunnels, 80 meters long and 110 meters long, of wisteria flowers fascinate visitors.
In mid-November, leaves of maple trees surrounding wisteria trellises begin to color. This garden is also popular as a place to enjoy the beauty of colored leaves in fall.
